Background
Since encountering programming at age 14, I have worked on product development across a wide range of fields, including business systems, SaaS, mobile apps, and education services.
While still a student, I started Soften and designed and developed accounting software for local assembly member offices and pawnshops. After completing graduate school at Kyushu Institute of Technology, I worked on image-processing inspection equipment, internal infrastructure, and business systems, handling the process from requirements definition through operations.
At Nulab, I worked on SaaS products such as Backlog and Typetalk. At Recruit, I handled backend development and team leadership for Study Sapuri ENGLISH-related services. My work spans operational improvement for large-scale services through to new product launches, creating value from both technical and business perspectives.
Today, as a development director and IT director, I lead the building of a 30-person-scale development organization, partner management, technology strategy, and AI adoption. I also contribute to the growth of the functional programming community in Japan as an Executive Director of the Japan Scala Association.
At Ignission, I provide development support that moves both products and teams forward, grounded in solid technical capability and business understanding.

What about contract types and pricing?
We work primarily under quasi-mandate service agreements (monthly retainer or hourly). Pricing is quoted individually based on project scope and required team composition. A free 30-minute consultation provides a concrete team and budget proposal.
Do you work remotely?
Yes—remote-first is our default. We also accommodate on-site meetings and workshops in the Tokyo area when required.
What is the minimum project size you can take on?
We work from spot engagements with one or two specialists up to full teams comprising design, frontend, backend, and SRE—matched to your business phase.
How long from initial consultation to project start?
After the 30-minute initial consultation, hearings and a written proposal take one to two weeks. After signing, projects can start within two to three weeks.
